Boiling Springs

Childrens Lake at Christmas

Boiling Springs Is located on the eastern side of South Middletown Township in Cumberland County.  The surrounding cities are Carlisle, Mechanicsburg and Mount Holly.  One of the most prominent natural water springs in this area is called the "Bubble". It is located directly behind the Boiling Springs Tavern, at the intersection of 1st Street and Front Street. The name of the Boiling Springs High School mascot, "The Bubblers", was inspired by this spring.  The "Children's Lake", home to many ducks, geese and swans,  is a main attraction to both tourists and locals.  Other attractions include the annual Arts and Craft show which is called  "Foundry Day" and the Christmas Season holiday decorations. It is also considered the half way point for the Appalachian Trail.

Allenberry Playhouse is known as a great place for dinner and theater, as well as being host to  many events and weddings thru the seasons.
