Chambersburg Area

Chambersburg is located  between McConnellsburg and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and  between Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, and Hagerstown, Maryland

Known as home to Wilson College, an independent liberal arts institution founded in 1869. Wilson is one of the historic landmarks for the town. Originally, an all girls' school offering unique experiences in organic farming and horseback riding, the school maintains an honor system for all students, aiming at character development with an educational experience focused on the individual student.

Letterkenny Army Depot is also located in Chambersburg. The mission at Letterkenny is to provide outstanding safety and health protection to their soldiers, employees, contractors and visitors through solid management systems and employee involvement. The Depot provides employment for many in the community. 

If you are the outdoors type, Chambersburg sits right outside of Caledonia State Park, a 1,125-acre park with fishing and hunting areas and hiking trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail.  Close by is the Conococheague Creek, noted for its trout fishing!
